That’s exactly what I did for this Richmond-based couple, who wanted an engagement shoot that felt authentic and showcased one of their favorite pastimes—exploring the outdoors. Their love story unfolded beautifully against the natural backdrop of Forest Hill Park, making for a stunning and heartfelt collection of photos.
A Personal Connection to the Location
Sabrina and Matt chose Forest Hill Park for their engagement session. The location wasn’t just a pretty setting—it was a meaningful spot that they visited often when they lived in the area. With its lush greenery, winding trails, and serene lake, it provided the perfect canvas for their candid engagement photos.
Due to high water levels at the time, we adjusted our plans and embraced the beauty of the park’s trails. We started at the 42nd Street entrance, a well-loved access point to the river, before making our way through the forested paths and down to the lake. The golden hour glow filtering through the trees created an ethereal ambiance, highlighting the couple’s genuine connection and joyful laughter.
